27.07.2026 – Participation in the WHO webinar on phage therapy
Members of the MEDphage project took part in the inaugural webinar of the ‘Bacteriophage Community of Practice’, organised by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The event was attended by representatives from the fields of research, clinical practice, regulation, politics, industry and civil society to discuss how collaboration can lead to safe, effective and equitable approaches based on bacteriophages
06.-10.07.2026 – Attendance at Viruses of Microbes 2026 in Prague
MEDphage attended the Viruses of Microbes (VoM26) conference in Prague. The VoM conference is the world’s leading event for research on viruses of microorganisms, including bacteriophages. VoM26 presented a wide range of new developments in phage therapy that we can incorporate into the MEDphage project. Furthermore, VoM26 provided an opportunity for professional exchange with numerous stakeholders in phage therapy from the academic and industrial sectors.

09./10.06.2026 – Presentation at Targeting Phage Therapy 2026 in Valencia, Spain
Dr. Timo Faltus gave a presentation entitled “The EU legal framework for one-size-fits-all versus personalised phage therapy” at the “9th World Congress on Targeting Phage Therapy” in Valencia.
